We’ve been wanting to do this blog post a while ago! we wanted to explain the different types of cleaners to choose from in Auckland simply because there are so many companies to choose from it can be mind boggling this is of our own opinions and what we have experienced personally.
In this blog post I will explain the three main types of cleaners typically found in Auckland and explain exactly the differences between each, this will allow you to distinguish which company may have better cleaning service due to how they operate.
#1 Employees
These are the cleaners employed by a big cleaning company usually paid by an hourly basis. These cleaners will frequent offices, and city apartments, they may also focus on short term leases, and hotel chains. Due to generally focusing on business buildings and the fact of which the businesses wish to be cost effective it can turn into a price war. What this means is you may find a lot of these cleaners to be paid only minimum wage. They may or may not get paid petrol depending on their distance.
You can imagine cleaning is a lot of hard work and if the reward doesn’t compensate well then the quality of the clean maybe at jeopardy.
#2 Franchise Cleaners
Owners of a Franchise are usually families wanting to finally work for themselves and be their own bosses. We’ve noticed that as these maybe first timers of the industry they may go through rigorous training with the Franchiser to ensure the brand image is represented correctly as the company is in jeopardy at the hands of someone who is inexperienced.
As a Franchise requires an upfront cost you start to realize that the buyer is actually buying a job, one which is unpredictable and can sometimes be a loss. It is still a business at the end of the day which also brings to attention that the Franchiser will be taking yearly fees as well as the initial upfront cost, this can make it seem like the franchise owner is only getting a very small share then decides to either sell off the declining business, or the motivation fades along with the quality of service.
#3 Small SME
One of my favorites as it’s always nice supporting your local companies meaning these are usually much smaller and can be family owned companies. The benefit here is they have a lot to prove and need to do so by providing high quality service to stand a chance with the bigger companies.
These can range from employees or franchise owners wanting to get rewarded fairly for their efforts turned business owners. Not only are most already experienced but going the extra mile and cutting out the middle man means they get bigger rewards resulting in consistently quality service and affordable cleaning service for customers.
Finally..
You’ve probably already have guessed what category we fit into – Yes! it’s #3. We believe to ensure consistently great cleaning services comes from treating the team that works with you fairly. We don’t have employees we have partners and our team of cleaners treat each booking like their own businesses. We hope this article has helped you break down the many Auckland cleaning companies our there, make sure you’re booking with the right team that ensures quality and fair service is always key.
Till next time!
